About Role
The Senior Medical Writer will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and editing high-quality,
engaging medical content tailored for healthcare professionals. This role ensures the accuracy,
clarity, and consistency of all materials, aligning with editorial and scientific standards while
maintaining relevance across Docquity's platforms and health communications channels. With a
blend of strong writing skills and sharp editorial judgment, the Senior Medical Writer will
collaborate across teams to deliver timely, impactful content that supports Docquity's goals and
upholds the highest standards of medical communication.
Job Title: Senior Medical Writer.
Work Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a Medical Writer/Editor.
Location: Ho Chi Minh City.
Academic Qualification: Medical Doctor, or equivalent medical/pharmacy background.
Expectations from you
1. Content Development & Editorial Review
- Write, edit, and proofread medical content to ensure scientific integrity, accuracy inspelling, grammar, style, and syntax.
- Review, verify, and adapt content from both internal and external sources to maintaincontent diversity and speciality coverage.
- Ensure all content complies with regulatory, journal, company, and editorial guidelines.
- Adapt content language and tone to meet regional and local requirements.
- Maintain organised records of references and source materials.
- Provide scientific input during internal discussions and throughout the contentdevelopment lifecycle.
- Liaise with designers, editors, video producers, and graphic artists to ensureconsistency and impact in design, layout, and multimedia projects.
2. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Deliver high-quality content on time, aligned with monthly and quarterly KPIs.
- Monitor project deadlines and ensure deliverables integrate seamlessly with company-wide initiatives.
- Uphold editorial and scientific accuracy in all published content.
- Represent the Editorial team in client meetings, as required.
- Analyse engagement data and optimise content strategies to improve performanceand reader retention.
3. Promotional & Engagement Activities
- Create and manage promotional content for campaigns, including emails, notifications,and social media posts.
- Oversee in-app content assistant tools to enhance discoverability and userengagement.
- Propose content adaptations and promotional strategies based on engagementinsights to achieve business objectives.
4. Cross-Team Collaboration & Support
- Collaborate with product, operations, tech, partnerships, and design teams to createinteractive and user-friendly content.
- Support regional teams with tasks related to language, content review, and userexperience testing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, clients, and externalcontributors to support content development.
- Mentor and guide junior writers to help them develop their skills and deliver high-quality work.
5. Research & Strategic Contribution
- Research and understand medical writing, marketing, and market-specific requirementsfor Vietnam and other regions.
- Identify relevant content sources aligned with market needs and Docquity's strategicgoals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, guidelines, and best practices in medical writing andcommunications.
Skills required
- Proven experience in content writing, editing, or medical communications.
- Strong command of English (written and spoken).
- Familiarity with scientific publishing standards and medical terminology.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) is anadvantage.
