Role Overview
The Media Planner & Buyer is responsible for developing and executing media plans across TV, Radio, and OOH,... channels. This role covers both planning and buying functions, including direct client communication, booking coordination, and performance monitoring to ensure campaigns are delivered effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
1. Media Planning
- Develop detailed media plans based on client briefs and campaign objectives.
- Recommend channel selection, program/time slots, spot formats, OOH locations, flighting strategy, and budget allocation.
- Prepare cost estimations and media rationale aligned with target KPIs.
- Ensure media plans are optimized for reach, frequency, and cost efficiency.
2. Media Buying & Execution
- Execute booking for TV, Radio, and OOH campaigns in coordination with internal trading process.
- Follow up on booking confirmations, schedules, and material deadlines.
- Ensure campaigns are launched on time and in accordance with approved plans.
- Monitor campaign delivery and resolve operational issues when necessary.
3. Client Servicing
- Act as the main contact person for clients regarding media planning and buying matters.
- Receive and clarify briefs directly from clients.
- Present media plans and booking summaries to clients.
- Provide regular campaign updates and performance reports.
- Handle client feedback and coordinate adjustments when required.
4. Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Track and evaluate campaign performance based on GRP, reach, frequency, impressions, CPRP, and other agreed KPIs.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and post-buy reports.
- Provide recommendations for improvement and future planning optimization.
- Support billing reconciliation to ensure alignment with approved bookings.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in Media Planning & Buying, with strong exposure to TV, Radio, and/or OOH.
- Solid understanding of offline media metrics (GRP, reach, frequency, CPRP, etc.).
- Experience in handling booking processes and campaign execution.
- Experience working directly with clients.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Able to manage multiple campaigns under tight timelines.
- Agency experience is preferred.
- Proficient in English, especially in writing and presentation skills.
