Position Overview:
You'll lead APAC PE/TD/CMF team to interface with product management, project management, industrial design, quality assurance, prototyping, testing, design engineering and merchandise sourcing in delivering a constant flow of innovative products. You also will collaborate with resource managers across product creation to plan, resource, and execute new projects. Ensure all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives. Utilize best practice engineering methods and provide expert technical guidance for engineering initiatives. Incorporate components, materials, and tools that result in cost-effective and quality output. Groom and develop the engineering team to build a strong Production Engineering discipline.
APAC PE/TD/CMF
What You'll Do:
- Manage Vietnam engineer team by leading, coaching, and mentoring the team to accomplish the responsibilities and grow the capability continuously.

- Cooperate with Product Creation team to meet project timelines, project quality and innovation efforts, to be lead for manufacturing process in design for manufacture (DFM)
- Lead and coach PE/TD team to perform PE/TD's duty in new product development process.
PE/TDPE/TD
- Assign PE/TD to join each specific project to support product design, complete design risk review and assessment, develop product test plan, perform engineering sample review and provide comments from product engineering perspective, be responsible for EIR and PSA sample review and approval.
EIRPSA
- Drives the coordination between APAC engineer team and other function teams, focusing on technical communication and alignment with factories.
- Partner with internal team and factories to ensure products are appropriately documented through a technical specification package, work Instructions are appropriately documented for manufacturing processes, and receive necessary change management for both.
- Partner with other function teams to ensure projects meet financial targets as related to COGs and Capital
- Familiar with OEM/ODM processes, build factory engineering capability assessment system and drive for continuous improvement to have the product creation process more smoothly and shorten the lead-time.
OEM/ODM, ,
- Works closely with QA to solve technical issues related to product function and performance.
- Drives and organize periodic engineering seminar within PE/TD team and with cross functional teams by case study, lesson learning and experience/knowledge sharing.
PE/TD
- Identify, investigate, and adapt tools and techniques for product and process improvement, demonstrate excellent time-management, problem prevention and problem-solving skills.
- Mentor and develop the engineer team by identifying educational and professional development opportunities for team members and work out their development plan.
Who You Are:
- Strong process-wise thinking and logical analytical capability.
- Good knowledge in textile cut&sew and RF welded, and basic knowledge on metal and plastic injection.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and associated product design requirements for processes.
- Qualification process knowledge in best practices such as PPAP, validation/verification through DFMEA/Test Plan/PFMEA/Control Plan

- Capability to partner with functional teams to assemble a robust technical specification package to capture product design intent, requirements, and expectations.
- Rich experience in project/team management and very familiar with project process , Skilled at prioritizing tasks and managing timelines.

- Familiar with software which is used in hard goods and soft goods industry.
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally in English, rich experience on working and communicating directly with US based product creation teams.

- Respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Bachelor's degree or above, major in Mechanical Engineering, or Fashion Design and Engineering, or Textile Engineering and manufacturing related.
- 10+ years of experience on engineering, engineering experience on soft goods is preferred.
