PURPOSE:
- To drive a proactive risk culture at the first line.
- To enhance risk awareness and control execution at the first line.
- To ensure consistent understanding: (i) ownership of the first line on risk and compliance matters; and (ii) second line is provided with data and reports for analysis and independent reviews.
- Embedded analytic at back end and proactive oversight without duplicating the second line role.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Co-ordinate with 2nd line for implementation of Company policies and guidelines at the first line
- Conduct business quality assurance for BAU at all sub-functions at OP, review and ensure recommendations and actions agreed or recommended by 2nd line and 3rd line are correctly and timely implemented
- Coordinate for risk assessment for initiatives that require involvements of OP and/or IT
- Develop and implement risk management tools (e.g. dashboards, KRIs, checklist), making it simple for implementation at first line; To ensure tools and processes meet organizational standards.
- To establish clear escalation protocols for risk issues to the second line, identify emerging risks and ensure timely responses to identified risks.
- Be main contact point for Governance, Legal, Compliance Risk, Audit, and regulators and respond to risk/compliance and audit findings and assist the relevant functions in the remediation plans and ensure timely closure of findings.
- To provide appropriate trainings for first line staff, promote risk awareness through training, workshops, communications and leadership engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- BA in business, finance, risk management or related fields, with insurance industry experience is preferred.
- Familiar with three lines of defense model and able to assist the 1st line to develop procedures, guidelines in business quality control. Ability to translate complex risks into practical terms for non-specialists.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across levels.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with experience in designing and tracking risk metrics is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Fluent 4 skills (speak, write, read, listen) English.
- Excellent in excel, power point presentation, and report preparation skill.
