JOB DESCRIPTION

Mission

To establish and operate a management accounting framework that accurately reflects the economics of the platform business, connecting business KPIs with financial results to enable high-quality management decision-making.

Role Summary

The Management Accounting Lead is responsible for designing and operating management accounting processes that link business performance with financial outcomes.

Beyond traditional budgeting and variance analysis, this role focuses on explaining why the business is profitable (or not) at the level of products, business units, and customer segments.

This role works closely with business leaders, finance, and the data team

Key Responsibilities

A.Management Accounting Framework Design

Design and implement management accounting structures by business, product, and customer segment Define cost allocation rules (personnel costs, infrastructure, marketing, etc.) Build management accounting logic suitable for revenue models (GMV / MRR / ARR)

B.Budgeting & Performance Management

Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes Partner with business teams to align operational plans with financial targets Conduct monthly budget vs. actual analysis and variance explanations

C.Linking Business KPIs and Financials

Connect operation metrics (MRR, churn, LTV, CAC, etc.) with P&L outcomes Build and analyze unit economics at customer and segment levels Support ROI analysis for investments (hiring, product development, marketing)

D.Executive Reporting & Decision Support

Prepare monthly management accounting reports for executive meetings Translate financial data into clear business insights and narratives Respond to ad-hoc analysis requests from management

Required Qualifications

Solid understanding of financial and management accounting

Hands-on experience in budgeting and performance management

Advanced Excel / Google Sheets modeling skills

Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in SaaS or Fintech businesses

Experience with ERP systems

Experience designing unit economics models
