Job Description

Role Purpose:

The M365 AI/Power Platform Specialist is responsible for driving adoption, value realization and sustainable usage of Microsoft 365 AI capabilities, with a strong primary focus on Microsoft 365 Copilot. The role leverages the Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate) to build applications, automations and extensions that embed AI into real business workflows and accelerate Copilot adoption across the organization.

This role combines hands-on AI enablement with low-code solution delivery, translating business requirements into secure, scalable and user-centric solutions. The Specialist works closely with business stakeholders, IT, security and governance teams to ensure responsible, compliant and measurable use of AI-driven productivity tools.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • AI Use Case Enablement

Identify, design and implement high-value Copilot use cases in Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other Microsoft 365 apps.

  • Copilot Studio Development

Create AI copilots, plugins and extensions leveraging enterprise data and connectors, ensuring compliance and scalability.

  • Power Platform App & Automation Development

Design and develop Power Apps to support AI-enabled workflows

Build Power Automate flows to automate business processes and connect Copilot interactions with backend systems

  • Change Management & Training

Design and deliver structured enablement programs, training content and productivity accelerators for different user personas.

  • Governance & Security

Collaborate with security, compliance and data governance teams to ensure responsible deployment and usage of Generative AI capabilities.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration & User Support

Engage with business leaders to assess needs, measure impact and iterate solutions through analytics and feedback.

  • Monitoring, Metrics & Optimization

Track usage analytics, model performance, user satisfaction and business impact of Copilot features and agents; implement improvements based on insights and feedback.

  • Continuous Improvement

Monitor new Microsoft releases, promote best practices and drive innovation to improve productivity and automation maturity

Key Performance Measures:

  • Adoption and sustained usage of Microsoft 365 Copilot
  • Number and quality of Copilot use cases and agents delivered
  • Delivery of Power Apps and Power Automate solutions supporting AI adoption
  • User satisfaction and measurable business impact
  • Compliance with governance, security and platform standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Microsoft certifications desirable, especially within Microsoft 365
  • Additional training in AI, prompt engineering, or UX design considered an advantage

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio
  • Solid expertise in Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Experience integrating Copilot and Power Platform solutions with SharePoint and Dataverse
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 security, data access models and governance principles
  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable, user-focused AI and low-code solutions
  • 35 years experience in M365 administration, digital workplace transformation, or business productivity consulting
