At Be Group, our platform connects the heartbeat of Vietnamfrom Drivers and Maids to Merchants and Consumers. We are seeking a Lending Senior Manager to unlock the financial potential within these connections.

You will lead the creation of inclusive, data-driven financial solutions that serve the real needs of our community. This means building products that help a driver secure their vehicle, a maid manage her daily cash flow, a merchant expand their business, or a user access life's essentials with flexibility.

THE MANDATE

You will own the business of lending at Be Group. You are not just launching features; you are building a vertical that converts our massive daily transaction volume into a high-margin financial engine. Your goal is to embed credit seamlessly into the user journey, optimizing for high intention (offering the loan when it's needed) and high conversion (using data to approve it instantly).

1. Commercial Ownership & P&L Management

  • Build the Business: Take ownership of the Lending P&L. Design the revenue models for Mass Lending (Cash Loans) and Embedded Finance (BNPL, Credit Cards) that move beyond growth at all costs to sustainable profitability1.
  • Bank Partnerships: Serve as the primary commercial diplomat. Negotiate funding structures and risk-sharing models with banks and financial institutions to ensure sustainable capital.
  • Portfolio Management: Monitor the health of the loan book (NIM, NPL, Cost of Funds). You must understand the commercial lending math inside out.

2. Product Strategy: Intention & Conversion

  • Embedded Design: Move beyond a simple Lending Tab. Work with Product teams to inject financial offers at moments of high intente.g., a merchant needing stock, a driver needing fuel, or a user at checkout.
  • Closed-Loop Innovation: Design repayment flows that leverage Be's unique control over cash flow. Implement deduction-at-source models (e.g., deducting loan repayments automatically from a driver's daily earnings) to drastically lower risk compared to open wallets.

3. Data Collaboration (The BeScore)

  • Behavioral Scoring: You don't just rely on CIC checks. You know how to direct Data Science teams to translate operational signals (ride frequency, cancellation rates, location stability) into credit risk.
  • Risk vs. Speed: Define the Risk Appetite for the platform. Use our unique data advantage to approve users that traditional banks reject, while maintaining safe default rates.

4. Ecosystem Orchestration

  • Gig-Economy Empathy: Design financing that matches the cash flow of our workforce. You understand that a driver's economy is daily, not monthly. Build daily micro-deduction products rather than heavy monthly installments.
  • Merchants: Create working capital loans based on sales history to help SME partners grow.
  • Consumers: Launch BNPL and instant cash products that increase platform loyalty and spending power.

Requirements:

  • The Commercial Expert: 7+ years in Consumer Finance, Digital Banking, or Fintech. You know how lending works legally, commercially, and operationally.
  • The Closed-Loop Architect: You understand the difference between an Open Wallet (high risk) and a Platform Ecosystem (controlled risk). You know how to use the platform's grip on transactions to secure repayment.
  • The Product Mindset: You are not a traditional banker who relies on slow paperwork. You understand digital flows, UX, and how to optimize conversion rates in an app environment.
  • The Data Believer: You understand the power of alternative data. You know that a 5-star driver with 0% cancellation rate is a better credit risk than a stranger with a salary slip, and you know how to build a product around that truth.
