Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Legal Counsel/ Senior Legal Counsel to join our Legal Team, overseeing legal matters related to our domestic and overseas production activities. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our manufacturing operations by ensuring legal compliance, managing risk, and providing legal guidance across a wide range of issues.
- Advise on legal aspects of domestic and international commercial and transaction & governance operations (in collaboration with local counsel where needed).
- Review and negotiate contracts for machinery and equipment purchases, construction, and supply of goods and services.
- Provide legal guidance on regulatory licenses, production conditions, and other operational compliance requirements.
- Advise on product safety and liability issues, and support the business in managing product-related risks.
- Advise on other issues related to manufacturing area.
- Advise and manage claims/ disputes as assigned.
- Stay informed on changes in relevant laws and proactively advise the business on potential legal developments.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience working as a lawyer at a reputable law firm or as an in-house legal counsel, preferably in the commercial, transaction & governance, industrial, or automotive sectors.
- Solid knowledge of commercial and contract law.
- Experience working with cross-border legal matters and coordinating with external counsel in international jurisdictions.
- Strong understanding of compliance issues related to production.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Sound judgment and ability to analyze situations and information.
- Fluency in English is required.
