Senior Legal Counsel – Litigation

We are seeking an Outstanding Vietnamese Senior Legal Counsel – Litigation to join one of Vietnam's leading private enterprises.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Litigation & Dispute Resolution
- Lead and manage complex litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution matters across the Group.
- Develop litigation strategies to protect the company's interests in high-value commercial disputes.
- Represent the Group in working sessions with courts, arbitration centers, regulatory authorities and government agencies.
- Manage external law firms and legal advisors throughout dispute proceedings.
- Prepare legal opinions, litigation strategies and legal documentation.
2. Legal Risk Management
- Identify and assess legal risks arising from business operations and strategic projects.
- Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to senior management.
- Develop preventive legal solutions to minimize potential disputes.
- Support crisis management and sensitive legal matters.
3. Cross-border Legal Matters
- Handle cross-border disputes, international arbitration and overseas legal matters.
- Coordinate with international law firms and foreign counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
- Advise on disputes relating to international commercial transactions, investments and strategic partnerships.
4. Legal Advisory
- Review and negotiate complex commercial agreements from a dispute prevention perspective.
- Support business units in managing legal risks during commercial negotiations.
- Monitor changes in legislation and provide timely legal updates.
Key Requirements:
1. Education
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Law.
- Qualified Lawyer (Vietnam Bar admission preferred).
2. Experience
- Minimum 8–12 years of legal experience.
- Strong background in Litigation, Dispute Resolution or International Arbitration.
- Experience from: International law firms; Leading Vietnamese law firms; Multinational corporations; Large diversified groups; Proven track record handling high-value and complex disputes.
3. International Experience (Preferred)
- Experience handling litigation or arbitration across international jurisdictions.
- Experience working with multinational corporations or international legal teams.
- Familiar with cross-border commercial disputes, investment disputes and international transactions.
- Experience with arbitration institutions such as SIAC, ICC, HKIAC, LCIA, VIAC or UNCITRAL is highly preferred.
4. Language
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Comfortable working directly with international stakeholders and legal advisors.
