JOB DESCRIPTION:
DatVietVAC Group is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide legal advisory and compliance support for the Group's talent management, content exploitation, intellectual property, and entertainment business activities. This role will be responsible for contract drafting and negotiation, talent-related legal matters, intellectual property protection, licensing, dispute resolution, and legal compliance to ensure the Group's business interests are protected and operated in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
1. Contract Drafting & Legal Documentation
- Draft, review, negotiate, and provide legal advice on contracts related to talent management, artist cooperation, content production, licensing, endorsements, advertising, media, and other IP exploitation activities.
- Support business teams during contract negotiations and commercial discussions.
- Develop, update, and standardize contract templates and legal documents to support the Group's operations.
- Ensure legal compliance and safeguard the Group's rights and interests in all transactions.
2. Talent, IP & Entertainment Legal Advisory
- Provide legal advice and support for talent management, content exploitation, entertainment projects, events, and strategic partnerships.
- Advise on legal matters related to intellectual property, copyright, neighboring rights, image rights, and talent-related commercial activities.
- Assess legal risks and recommend practical solutions for talent, content, and entertainment-related projects.
- Support the resolution of contractual disputes and legal matters involving talents, artists, agencies, and business partners.
3. Talent & Intellectual Property Documentation Management
- Manage and maintain legal records related to talent management, artist agreements, copyright ownership, licensing rights, and intellectual property exploitation activities.
- Ensure legal documentation is properly organized, updated, and readily accessible.
- Maintain a comprehensive legal record system to support timely responses to legal, operational, or media-related issues.
4. Licensing & Regulatory Compliance
- Handle applications, renewals, amendments, and regulatory procedures related to performance permits, event licenses, and other entertainment-related approvals.
- Coordinate with relevant authorities and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
- Ensure all registrations and approvals are completed accurately and within required timelines.
5. Legal Knowledge Management & Compliance Awareness
- Maintain and update legal databases, regulations, and reference materials relating to intellectual property, entertainment, media, and talent management.
- Monitor legal developments and assess their impact on business operations.
- Conduct internal legal training sessions and share legal updates with relevant departments to strengthen compliance awareness and minimize legal risks.
6. Additional Responsibilities

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in law. Valid Lawyer Practicing Certificate is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an in-house legal counsel or at a law firm specializing in intellectual property, entertainment, media, talent management, commercial, or civil law.
- Strong knowledge of intellectual property law, copyright, neighboring rights, commercial law, civil law, and entertainment regulations.
- Proven experience in contract drafting, legal advisory, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
- Ability to draft and review legal documents in English.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively across departments.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, decisive, and highly responsible.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and legal document management systems.
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
