Overview
Golden Gate University (GGU) & upGrad are seeking experienced academic professionals to join as Academic Tutor for the MBA Program.
This role is designed to provide academic guidance and learner support for working professionals pursuing their MBA journey. The Academic Tutor will play a key role in helping learners better understand course concepts, assessments, and practical applications through bilingual support (English & Vietnamese).
The role will be delivered fully online and includes both group live sessions and individualized office hours.
Responsibilities
1. Office Hours (1:1 Academic Support)
- Conduct personalized 1:1 office hour sessions with learners.
- Support learners in understanding assignment requirements, grading rubrics, and academic expectations.
- Analyze learner performance and provide constructive feedback on submitted work.
- Help learners identify improvement areas and develop stronger academic approaches.
- Each office hour session will be 1 hour per session.
2. Learner Engagement & Academic Support
- Provide timely academic guidance and clarification for learner concerns.
- Encourage learner participation and confidence in online learning.
- Support learners in balancing academic requirements with professional commitments.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
Education:
- PhD or DBA in Business Administration, Management, Leadership, Marketing, Finance, Operations, or related fields.
- Candidates currently pursuing a PhD/DBA with strong teaching experience may also be considered.
Experience:
- Prior teaching, mentoring, or learner support experience in MBA or postgraduate programs preferred.
- Experience working with adult learners or working professionals is highly preferred.
- Industry experience in business or management functions is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong bilingual communication skills (English & Vietnamese).
- Ability to explain complex business concepts in a simple and practical manner.
- Strong mentoring and learner engagement capabilities.

Please Note
- This is a contract-based role and not a full-time position.
- Sessions will be conducted virtually based on the program schedule.
- Compensation will be structured based on the number of sessions conducted.
