I.What You'll Do
We are looking for an experienced Test Lead to drive testing activities for Java platform. This role will lead a QA team responsible for validating new Java builds across multiple operating systems and ensuring product quality, stability, and compatibility.
You will work closely with engineering teams to execute large-scale test suites, analyze failures, and continuously improve the testing infrastructure and processes.
Test Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of QA / Test Engineers.
- Define test strategy, planning, and execution for platform releases.
- Track progress, risks, and quality metrics.
Platform & Compatibility Testing
- Oversee execution of large-scale test suites for new Java builds.
- Validate system stability and compatibility across environments such as Linux, Windows, and MacOS.
- Investigate failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues.
Environment & Automation
- Manage and improve testing environments across multiple platforms.
- Develop scripts or automation to improve test execution efficiency.
Collaboration
- Work closely with developers, DevOps, and release teams.
- Participate in release readiness and quality reviews.
Reporting
- Provide clear status reports and quality assessments.
- Highlight risks and propose mitigation plans.
II. What You'll Bring
- 07+ years of experience in Software Testing, SDET, or System-Level QA.
- Strong hands-on programming skills in Java (must-have).
- Experience in testing Java platform / JDK builds or similar runtime environments.
- Strong experience in Linux/Unix systems, including command-line debugging and environment configuration.
- Experience with automation or Java related frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG or similar tools (when applicable).
- Strong scripting skills (Shell, Bash, or equivalent).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Docker) and pipeline integration.
- Experience in REST API testing, SQL, backend validation.
- Familiarity with containerized and infrastructure-level testing is a strong plus.
