Job Overview

Tungsten is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Java Engineer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate has a solid background in backend technologies, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for designing scalable software systems. You'll work alongside talented engineers to build high-performance applications and contribute to key architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java and Java-EE technologies.
Implement microservices and APIs that scale across distributed environments.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver product features.
Identify and resolve complex technical issues in a proactive manner.
Ensure code quality through test automation, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
Participate in software architecture discussions and contribute to system design.

Requirements

- 57 years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer.

- Proficiency in Java, OpenJDK, Apache, Tomcat, and Spring Boot.

- Strong grasp of object-oriented programming, design principles (SOLID, KISS, DRY), and microservice architecture.

- Experience with version control systems (preferably Git).

- Comfortable working in fast-paced, agile development environments.

- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).

- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

- Java-related certifications.

- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (SQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).

- Familiarity with development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
