Job Summary :
The Senior HR Specialist with a focus on Compensation & Benefits (C&B) is a key member of our HR team, responsible for the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of our compensation and benefits programs. This role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional who can ensure our rewards strategies are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate will act as a subject matter expert, providing crucial support to HR Business Partners and management on all C&B matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Compensation:
- Administer and process the company's monthly payroll in a timely and accurate manner, collaborating with finance and external vendors as needed.
- Conduct job evaluations and market benchmarking using salary surveys (e.g., Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, Aon) to determine competitive salary ranges and advise on appropriate job grading.
- Manage the annual salary review and bonus cycle process, including system configuration, communication, budget modeling, and reporting.
- Analyze compensation data to identify trends, ensure internal equity, and support pay decisions.
- Develop and maintain the company's salary structure and compensation guidelines.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on compensation-related issues, including offers, promotions, and adjustments.
Benefits:
- Administer all employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, life insurance, and wellness initiatives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries, claims issues, and plan interpretations.
- Manage relationships with benefits brokers and vendors to ensure high-quality service and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead the annual benefits renewal process and open enrollment, including employee communication and education.
- Ensure compliance with all benefit plans with local, state, and federal regulations.
HR Operations & Analytics:
- Maintain the integrity of HRIS data related to compensation, benefits, and employee records.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for HR and management on key metrics (headcount, turnover, compensation ratios, benefits utilization).
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Stay abreast of trends and regulatory changes in C&B and HR technology.
- May participate in or lead other HR projects such as performance management, employee engagement surveys, or HR system upgrades.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a significant focus on Compensation & Benefits administration.
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing is essential.
- Strong experience with job benchmarking and analysis using major salary surveys.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, complex formulas).
- In-depth knowledge of relevant labor laws and regulations governing compensation, benefits, and payroll.
