About this roleWe are looking for a Senior Gen AI Engineer to join a global project. This role focuses on applied Generative AI solutions, working closely with Japanese stakeholders while collaborating with international engineering teams.
The ideal candidate has a strong AI/ML background, hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies, and the ability to communicate effectively in English. Japanese language skill is a strong advantage for stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and implement Generative AI solutions (LLM-based applications, AI automation, AI-assisted workflows).
- Work with cloud-based AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI and other enterprise AI services.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into AI solutions.
- Integrate Gen AI capabilities into existing systems and workflows.
- Support testing, deployment, and optimization of AI solutions in production environments.
- Participate in technical discussions with Japanese stakeholders (with support if needed).
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in AI / Machine Learning / Data-related development.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies (LLMs, prompt engineering, AI integration).
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Experience with cloud-based AI platforms (e.g. Azure OpenAI, Gemini, Copilot, etc.).
- Solid understanding of AI project lifecycle and system integration.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Preferred:
- Japanese language proficiency (business-level communication is a strong plus).
- Experience working with Japanese clients or stakeholders.
- Exposure to image recognition / computer vision projects.
- Experience with AI orchestration or automation tools (e.g. Dataiku, Workato).
- Prior experience in manufacturing, materials, or enterprise environments.
