Job Overview
We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer (Game) to lead frontend development for high-performance web apps and 2D browser-based games. You will own frontend architecture, quality standards, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop maintainable frontend code for web apps and 2D games.
- Build interactive 2D gameplay using HTML5 Canvas, JavaScript, CSS animations.
- Work closely with designers, PMs, and backend teams.
- Apply best practices in coding, testing, documentation, and scalability.
- Optimize rendering and performance for smooth gameplay.
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
- Stay updated on modern frontend/game technologies.
Requirements
- 45+ years in frontend engineering or 2D game development.
- Strong JavaScript, Canvas API, DOM, ES6+, animations, and optimization skills.
- Solid experience with React + Next.js or Vue + Nuxt.js.
- Knowledge of game loops, sprites, and browser performance.
- Proficient with CSS, animations, SASS/LESS, and Git.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and passion for creative/technical challenges.
- Understanding of SEO for web projects.
