Job Description

The Senior Finance Officer is responsible to ensure financial records comply with DP World's Financial Policies and Procedures, by assisting with the preparation of accounting reports and statements, reconciling accounts, working with Global Share Services on AP, AR process and reviewing journal entries and vouchers, providing support to achieve all Finance Department and audit requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

Financial Reporting & Strategic Analysis

  • Oversee the preparation and review of key financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Conduct variance and performance analysis across operations, production, and strategic projects to identify risks, opportunities, and efficiency improvements.
  • Provide management with financial insights supporting strategic decisions, cost control, and resource allocation.
  • Supervise cashflow planning and ensure optimal liquidity for ongoing operations and strategic initiatives.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the development of the annual budget and rolling forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance, highlight deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Partner with department heads to ensure budget discipline and alignment with business priorities.

Accounting, Tax, Audit & Compliance Oversight

  • Oversee the full spectrum of accounting activities, including AP, AR, GL, and periodend close (working with Global Share Services team in India)
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions and maintenance of proper accounting records.
  • Maintain compliance with all statutory requirements, including local tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
  • Supervise tax filing and compliance activities (CIT, VAT, FCT) and ensure timely tax declarations.
  • Lead internal and external audit processes, ensuring full transparency and strong control over cost accounting, inventory, and statutory data.
  • Strengthen internal controls and adherence to corporate financial policies.

Financial Systems, Controls & Process Optimization

  • Implement and reinforce strong internal controls, financial governance, and riskmitigation frameworks.
  • Identify, implement, and optimize system enhancements to improve data integrity and financial reporting efficiency.
  • Ensure accuracy, security, and consistency of financial information across systems and processes.

Other Responsibilities

  • Monitor loan obligations and ensure timely repayment and compliance with financing terms.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of statistical and regulatory reports to government agencies.
  • Collaborate with the Global Shared Services team to validate accounting records and ensure alignment with corporate standards.
  • Perform additional highlevel finance responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting (CPA/CMA certification is a plus)-
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, of which 5 years experience in senior finance or accounting roles. Prior experience in an audit firm (FDI) or senior role or in logistics company is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance (IFRS and VAS) and measures of performance.
  • Solid experience coordinating with independent auditors for annual filings.
  • Proficient in ERP/Accounting software and MS Excel; a strong working knowledge of IFRS is a significant advantage.
  • Good command of English for professional communication, including reporting and meetings.
  • Demonstrated leadership, analytical thinking, high integrity, and the resilience to perform under high pressure.
