Job Description

ofi (olam food ingredients), a new operating group from Olam Group, offers sustainable, natural food products and ingredients, including cocoa, coffee, dairy, nuts, and spices. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Finance Business Partnering

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to plant managers, supply chain leaders, and cross-functional teams by translating financial data into actionable insights.
  • Provide forward-looking financial guidance to support cost optimization, operational efficiency, and strategic investments.
  • Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to assess pricing strategies, product profitability, capital expenditure proposals, and ROI analyses.
  • Partner with supply chain and production teams to manage manufacturing costs, conduct variance analysis, and improve resource allocation.
  • Participate actively in business reviews, presenting financial implications of operational decisions and influencing outcomes through data-driven recommendations.
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitor benchmarks, and regulatory changes to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Build credibility as a trusted financial advisor, ensuring strategic decisions align with compliance and governance standards.
  • Embed financial perspectives into planning, forecasting, and operational execution to drive cross-functional alignment.

2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Lead the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management reports, statutory financial statements, and performance dashboards (MIS/NIS).
  • Deliver deep-dive financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain financial forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term financial models.
  • Track performance against targets, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.

3. Governance, Controls & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with VAS, IFRS, and all statutory, tax, and corporate regulations.
  • Oversee corporate taxation, VAT, transfer pricing, and customs matters, ensuring accurate filings and audit readiness.
  • Design and strengthen internal control frameworks to safeguard assets and ensure reporting reliability.
  • Establish and maintain robust financial policies that promote transparency and accountability.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and proactively address control gaps.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and collaborate with legal advisors to ensure timely compliance.
  • Represent the company in interactions with regulators, tax authorities, and government agencies, upholding ethical standards.
  • Lead resolution of audit findings and drive continuous improvement in financial processes.

4. Team Development & Leadership

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
  • Mentor team members through coaching, feedback, and development programs.
  • Promote continuous learning, innovation, and cross-functional teamwork.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Auditing from Economics University (HCMC/Hanoi). Professional certifications such as CCA or an equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 4 years in leadership roles within manufacturing, FMCG, or supply chain environments.
  • Scope: Comprehensive scope of handling accounting, finance, FP&A, and taxation.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with the complex manufacturing process handling. Strong command of VAS, IFRS, corporate taxation, tax planning, and customs regulations.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to develop teams and influence senior stakeholders to drive business impact. Having experience managing more thanfive direct reports is vital.
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Skilled in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and delivering commercially relevant insights.
  • Communication: Excellent presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced financial modeling tools.
