Senior Expert, Design Management (Road and Bridge Infrastructure Projects)

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee the design process from survey, preliminary design, technical design, to construction drawings.
• Review, evaluate, and approve design documents to ensure compliance with technical standards and legal regulations.
• Collaborate with design consultants, contractors, and government authorities to resolve technical issues.
• Propose optimal engineering solutions to improve quality, durability, and cost-effectiveness of road and bridge projects.
• Manage legal documents, technical files, drawings, and related design materials.
• Monitor design progress, provide updates, and prepare periodic/ad-hoc reports for senior management.
• Research and apply new technologies and advanced materials in road and bridge design.
• Support bidding activities, technical evaluation, and contract review related to design.
• Train, mentor, and develop the capabilities of design engineers within the project team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant major (Preferred in Bridge & Road Engineering, or Transportation Infrastructure)
• Minimum 12 years and above of experience in road and bridge design, with proven expertise in highways and cable-stayed bridges.
• Strong knowledge of national and international road and bridge design standards.
• Practical experience in design evaluation, progress control, quality assurance, and cost management.
• Strong management and coordination skills, with the ability to make quick decisions under high-pressure environments.
