Job Description
This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs to ensure compliance with Vietnam regulations and UL Solutions standards. This role supports continuous improvement in safety culture and environmental performance across the site.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain EHS programs, SOPs, and emergency response plans in compliance with local laws and company policies.
- Monitor updates to Vietnam EHS legislation; prepare and submit mandatory reports to authorities (e.g., DONRE, DOLISA).
- Conduct internal EHS inspections, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses; lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Manage hazardous materials and waste, chemical inventories, and ensure proper labeling and documentation (MSDS).
- Organize EHS training for employees, contractors, and visitors; coordinate emergency drills and response teams.
- Oversee PPE selection and usage; manage occupational health programs and examinations.
- Act as EHS representative for audits, government inspections, and cross-site support as needed.
- Collaborate with Facilities and Laboratory teams to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
- 4 5 years of EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing or construction.
- Strong knowledge of Vietnam EHS legislation (QCVNs, OSH Law, etc.), international standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and best industry practices is essential.
- Safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) and audit experience are a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with good command of English for report writing and external audits.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and data analysis.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel up to 1015%.
