Primary Duties & Responsibilities

1-Manufacturing process, development and improvement (40%)

  • Lead and coach team to achieve daily and monthly production targets through proper guideline for action take to fix issue
  • Continuous improvement of manufacturing and support processes with cost reductions and capacity enhancement at targeted cost through direct hands-on approach
  • Make sure all new process, products transferred successful hand over as time, cost target
  • Processes are conceived, proposed, developed and implemented that support II-VI strategic objectives
  • To provide support to QRB requirement submit, Qual build and to make sure that new process, process changes are released on time.
  • Any processes effecting yields are targeted as potential projects to be examined
  • Apply and coach team to use lean, 6 sigma and SPC to do trouble shooting and process improvement

2- Manufacturing Process Support and Quality control (30%)

  • Provide coaching, training to team for solving problem on time and select right solution to make sure production continuously
  • Problem notes and ISO/Customer audit findings addressed immediately.
  • Work with Marlow experts, supplier & manufacturer to do trouble shooting and fix process, quality and machine issue.
  • Monitor and control change effected to quality or need QRB approval
  • Lead engineer, technician team to review SPC data. Base on quality feedback to review and suggest new or replace or change process control parameters.

3- Product Development / Realization processes (20%)

  • Re-search and contact with technical support or vendor to develop consumable on site making project or local supplier
  • Set up testing or DOE factors to improve process reliability, Cp, Cpk.
  • Support Marlow Team and ADC to run prototype and develop new product or process

4- Documentation and Human Resource (5%)

  • Control and make sure tasks and improvement activities to closed on time and achieve target
  • A manufacturing environment is fostered that is focused on developing personnel and individual growth by cross training
  • Clear and specific MFR objectives are established with all department personnel that support achievement of corporate goals
  • Prepare documentation and provide best practice training, technical seminar to all level of organization
  • Develop backup plan for process engineer team through cross training and headcount planning

5-Special Projects (5%)

  • Support to build data management system and BOM /routing on Glovia if request
  • Support production team to train technical for line lead
  • Support special projects as required

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electronic or Material Engineering or equivalent specialization.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without years experience in one or more of the fields of education listed above in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in Setting up of manufacturing facilities, including equipment design, procurement, facilities, and training.

Skills

  • Knowledge of Technical research and report
  • Conducts activities with broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in applicable discipline and body of knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others.
  • Ability to achieve goal results through day to day complete assignments.
  • Proven ability training of operators/technician/engineer .
  • Communication and presentation skills.
  • Develops working knowledge of other related fields. May assist lower levels of employees with more complex issues.
  • Proficient computer skills, experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access data base, Email, internet access.
