We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our global consultancy team. You will be responsible for the design and engineering of electrical systems for large-scale, mission-critical data center projects. The role demands a deep understanding of international standards, exceptional technical skills, and the ability to coordinate across borders with clients, contractors, and internal multi-disciplinary teams (Architecture, Structure, MEP, BIM).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design for data center projects, including power distribution, backup systems (UPS, generators), lighting, grounding, and fire alarm systems.
- Develop detailed calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports in accordance with international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, BS, NFPA).
- Collaborate closely with architects, BIM managers, and other engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil) to ensure fully integrated and coordinated design.
- Manage project deliverables, timelines, and technical quality for assigned electrical packages.
- Interface directly with international clients and stakeholders, presenting designs and addressing technical queries.
- Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and provide construction support.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering sessions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of internal design standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5-10 years of proven experience in electrical design within a consulting engineering environment.
- Strong background in BIM processes and tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks) for design coordination.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience working on cross-border/international projects.
- In-depth understanding and application of international electrical codes and standards.
