Senior Digital Application Developer
Role Purposes
Gather requirements, conceptualize, develop, implement, rollout data analytic and digital solutions within P+F operations to gain business insight and improve productivity
Major Accountabilities
- Develop data analytic solution following extract-load-transform (ELT) pipeline:
- Work with stakeholder to analyse business requirements for data analytics
- Work with relevant partner from OT & IT to gather and extract the required data into suitable location (data warehouse, data lake)
- Transform the data with both code (SQL-like transform) and low-code solution
- Visualize data based on business requirement
- Train & work with end user to use data for business improvement
- Develop digital application (low-code app):
- Work with stake holder to analyse requirement for application, incl. cost & benefits.
- Form technical concept and architecture to enable reliable & execution
- Develop, test, integration, maintain, improve, rollout with the target to have digitalized, smart and automated processes
- Work with IT/OT to ensure the agreed performance targets (SLQ) of infrastructure which support application & data pipeline:
- Familiar with DevOps concept to work with OT and IT partners for troubleshooting & ensure the continuous reliability of All the applications.
- Develop test cases, conduct SIT and UAT, load test and tune the performance of systems to meet SLA.
- Work with internal and external developers and supplier on IT hardware topic to support digital solution
- Lead & support roll-out project of digital solution to global locations
- Lead & support consultants to identify & formulate customer requirements e.g. user stories
- Develop SLA and obtain the consensus with business users
- Design and optimization of documentation for all solutions.
- Training and further education of employees regarding SF solutions
- Supervision of Developers, Interns and Trainees
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information System, Computer Engineering or a related field;
- Business fluent English language (both written and spoken skills) is a must;
- At least 5 years of experience in hands-on in software application development/ digitalization and automation (preferably in manufacturing environment with strong understanding of Business Processes); Product or Project management experience is an advantage;
- Skilled in database design (traditional relational e.g.Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL and non-SQL database such as e.g InfluxDB, MongoDB), structure query languages (SQL) and its dialect;
- Skilled in Python languages (a must), esp. in data engineering, data analysis and machine learning related works; experience in coding using one of .NET languages (e.g. C#) and one additional scripting languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript);
- Experience in web application development (low-code or regular), data transformation (low code tools and SQL-like template), visualization & BI tools (Tableu or PowerBI); experience in using AI to support development workflow and general research;
- Knowledge with DevOps related concepts & tools (infrastructure, database, load management, deployment, networking, etc); and system architecture to manage data life cycle:
- Data generation through interaction with human or machine and equipment connectivity (hardware retrofitting & protocol development / integration like OPC-UA, MQTT);
- Data integration through different mechanism (asynchronous through message bus, synchronous through API design);
- Data storage through data warehouse & data lake;
- Good-to-have:
- Knowledge in handling software system for manufacturing operation especially in Electronics Manufacturing, such as ERP, MES, SCADA systems;
- Familiar of using traditional Waterfall & modern Agile methodologies in software development and project management;
- Familiar with customer requirements gathering & formulation (business process mapping, formulate user stories, consolidate change request, test cases and handling defects);
