We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a global digital transformation program in the aerospace industry. The successful candidate will work closely with international stakeholders, architects, developers, and business teams to establish cloud infrastructure, implement DevOps best practices, and support the delivery of modern web applications within an Agile environment.
This position requires onsite presence in Toulouse (France) and close collaboration with French-speaking stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps & Cloud Engineering
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications.
- Automate build, test, deployment, and release processes.
- Configure and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and environment provisioning solutions.
- Support application deployment, environment management, and release activities.
- Ensure platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence.
- Investigate and resolve performance and infrastructure issues.
Platform Setup & Operations
- Lead DevOps initialization and environment setup activities.
- Configure and manage cloud services, storage, networking, and access controls.
- Support Identity and Access Management (IAM) integration.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
Agile Delivery
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, refinement sessions, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with solution architects, developers, QA engineers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational procedures.
- Support effort estimation, technical planning, and risk assessment activities.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong Linux administration and scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, IAM, and cloud governance principles.
Ecosystem
- Experience supporting modern web application deployments.
- Familiarity with React and Node.js application environments.
- Strong knowledge of Git and source control best practices.
Language Requirements
- French: Minimum B2 level, able to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
- English: Professional working proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with enterprise-scale cloud transformation programs.
- Knowledge of Agile or SAFe methodologies.
- Experience working in multicultural and distributed teams.
- Experience in highly regulated industries such as aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or engineering.
