Senior Data Scientist

About The Role

Droppii is looking for aSenior Data Scientistwho loves turning raw data into actionable business value. You will be the brain behind our smartest features, applying advanced statistical methods and machine learning to optimize the user journey.

Key Missions

1. Core Algorithms:Build and refine the models that power our platform, specificallyRecommendation Systems,User Scoring, andDemand Forecasting.
2. Experimentation Culture:Lead the design and analysis ofA/B Teststo ensure every product change is backed by data, not intuition.
3. Deep Insights:Proactively mine our data to find hidden patterns in seller behavior, guiding the strategic direction of the product.

Responsibilities

1. Machine Learning & Modeling

• Develop high-performance models forPersonalization(Collaborative Filtering, Deep Learning for RecSys) andPredictive Analytics(LTV, Churn Prediction).
• Perform rigorousFeature Engineeringto extract signals from complex user behavior and transaction data.
• Own the model performance: continuously monitor metrics (AUC, RMSE, Precision@K) and retrain models to adapt to new trends.

2. Data Science & Analytics

• Write advancedSQLqueries to transform raw data into modeling datasets.
• Apply statistical methods (Hypothesis Testing, Causal Inference) to understand the Why behind the data.
• Visualize complex data stories using tools likeTableau, PowerBI, or Python (Matplotlib/Seaborn)to influence stakeholders.

3. Collaboration & Deployment

• Work with AI Engineers to put your models into production (helping with containerization or pipeline logic).
• Define the Success Metrics for new features with Product Managers.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Haves:

• Proven Track Record:Demonstrated experience solving real-world business problems using Data Science/ML (preferably inE-commerce, Fintech, or Retail).
• Strong Math & Stats:Deep understanding of Probability, Statistics, and Linear Algebra. You know which metric to use and why.
• ML Proficiency:Expert in Python data stack (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and boosting frameworks (XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost).
• SQL Mastery:Ability to write complex, optimized queries to handle large datasets.
• A/B Testing:Experience designing experiments, calculating sample sizes, and analyzing results.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience withBig Data tools(Spark, Databricks) or Cloud Data Warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake).
• Knowledge ofDeep Learningframeworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow) for non-tabular data (Images/Text).
• Familiarity withCausal Inferencetechniques (Uplift Modeling).
