Role Description The Senior Data Engineer position is open to Vietnamese nationals and is a full-time, on-site role based in Hanoi (Viettel Post Building, No. 2, Alley 15, Duy Tan Street, Cau Giay Ward, Hanoi, Vietnam) :
- Build and maintain Data Warehouse and Data Lake platforms.
- Develop and operate distributed data processing and compute systems on top of the Data Lake.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists to implement data mining algorithms, including classification, clustering, predictive models, and graph processing on distributed systems.
- Develop and maintain data analytics pipelines/jobs and reporting solutions using Apache Spark, Presto, and related technologies.
- Manage data across Big Data platforms; develop data projects, scripts, and internal tools; integrate and synchronize data from multiple source systems into the Data Lake.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields. Candidates graduating from Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), VNU University of Engineering and Technology (VNU-UET), or international universities are preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java, or Scala. Strong Java experience is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in SQL.
- At least 2 years of experience working with distributed systems and related frameworks/libraries.
- Hands-on experience in building and deploying distributed data processing and computation pipelines/jobs using technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and Pentaho.
- Solid understanding and practical experience with distributed NoSQL and in-memory databases, such as HBase/Cassandra, MongoDB, and Redis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing large-scale data processing or algorithmic models on Hadoop/Spark platforms.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying Big Data analytics solutions using Apache Spark.
