Role Overview
Lead the end-to-end delivery of AWS-based data, analytics, and AI solutions for enterprise clients. Own the successful execution of data engineering, machine learning, generative AI, and business intelligence programs while building and mentoring high-performing delivery teams. Drive technology innovation, ensure delivery excellence, and enable business transformation through scalable cloud-native architectures.
Key Responsibilities
AWS Analytics Delivery
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise data platforms leveraging AWS services such as Amazon S3, Redshift, AWS Glue, Athena, and Lake Formation.
- Build and manage real-time data processing solutions using Amazon Kinesis, MSK, AWS Lambda, and Step Functions.
- Deliver machine learning and generative AI solutions using Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock, including model training, deployment, monitoring, LLM applications, and RAG implementations.
- Enable business intelligence and data visualization initiatives using Amazon QuickSight, Tableau, and Power BI on AWS.
- Drive large-scale cloud migration programs from legacy platforms such as Teradata, Oracle, and Hadoop ecosystems to AWS.
Technical & Delivery Leadership
- Define and govern AWS architecture standards, data modeling frameworks, and best practices across programs.
- Establish and implement MLOps and LLMOps frameworks leveraging SageMaker and Bedrock.
- Manage multiple strategic programs with budgets exceeding $10M and support the processing of multi-terabyte datasets.
- Implement DataOps practices with automated CI/CD pipelines using CloudFormation, AWS CDK, and CodePipeline.
- Ensure solution scalability, security, performance optimization, and cost efficiency across all AWS deployments.
Team Leadership & Client Engagement
- Lead, mentor, and scale teams of 30+ professionals, including data engineers, ML engineers, data scientists, and BI developers.
- Drive technical excellence through AWS certification programs, capability building, and continuous learning initiatives.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable AWS data and AI solutions.
- Support pre-sales activities by providing solution architecture, effort estimation, technical proposals, and client presentations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring successful program delivery and long-term partnership growth.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience
- 15 to 20 years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, and AI/ML domains.
- Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience managing large-scale delivery programs.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting and implementing AWS data and analytics solutions.
Technical Skills
- Advanced SQL and data modeling expertise.
- Strong programming experience in Python and/or Scala.
- Hands-on experience with PySpark and large-scale data processing frameworks.
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience using AWS CloudFormation and AWS CDK.
- Expertise in DataOps, MLOps, and cloud-native architecture patterns.
Preferred Certifications
- AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty
- AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
Proven Delivery Experience
- Enterprise-scale data lakes and data warehouse implementations handling terabyte-scale datasets.
- Production deployment and management of machine learning and generative AI solutions.
- Large-scale cloud migration and modernization programs.
- Real-time streaming and event-driven data architectures.
- Strong program management, stakeholder management, and client-facing leadership capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing RAG-based solutions using Amazon Bedrock.
- Exposure to multi-cloud environments, including Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Expertise in cloud cost optimization, governance, and operational excellence frameworks.
