ABOUT THE ROLE
We're seeking a strategic and analytical Senior Data Analyst & Project Management to join our Social Commerce Business. This role blends data-driven decision-making with cross-functional project leadership, ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys turning insights into impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Database Administration (45%)
- Design, implement, and maintain database structures with focus on performance, security, and scalability
- Monitor database performance and implement optimization strategies for large-scale data processing
- Manage database security, user access controls, data governance & quality requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and performance bottlenecks
Data Analysis & Business Intelligence (30%)
- Develop data pipelines and ETL processes for reliable data flow
- Optimize queries and reporting performance for fast dashboard load times
- Build and maintain automated reporting systems for daily, weekly, and monthly business metrics
- Create interactive dashboards and self-service analytics tools for business users (from management to operation level, for internal and external use)
- Help translate complex data findings into strategic business recommendations and executive presentations
Strategic Project Management (20%)
- Help drive cross-functional projects and initiatives (including but not limited to: financial management, strategic planning, go-to-market strategy)
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Outreach, BU, Strategy, Leadership, Group Finance & Legal) and the occasional 3rd party vendors
- Support in conducting market research and competitive analysis to support business planning decisions
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications and report to Data & Project Lead
Stakeholder Management (5%)
- Serve as primary liaison between above mentioned internal & external stakeholders
- Facilitate requirements gathering and translate business needs into actionable work plan for Data & Product Lead's review
- Present findings and recommendations to Leadership and cross-functional teams in meetings or via emails
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Business & Project Management Skills:
- Proven project management experience with cross-functional teams and complex business initiatives
- Strong business acumen with experience in revenue strategy, monetization, and financial analysis
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with senior leadership
- Experience with user research, market analysis, and strategic planning processes
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, Apps Script, Python)
- Proficiency in business intelligence and presentation tools (Power BI, Looker Studio, PPT/Google Slides)
- Basic financial modeling, forecasting and desk researching
- Basic understanding of database concepts and data governance principles
Personal Attributes:
- Critical thinker with good business judgment and analytical mindset
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proactive leader who can drive initiatives independently in fast-paced environments
- 3-5 years experience in business analysis, strategy consulting, or project management roles
- Background in ecommerce, social commerce, or digital marketing preferred
