Job Description

An inernational financial institution is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Manager to join its expanding SEA team based in Ho Chi Minh City. This is a rare opportunity to take on a strategic role shaping credit risk strategies for regional conglomerates and industry-leading corporates, while working at the intersection of global standards and local market expertise. You'll gain exposure to high-profile clients, cross-border assignments, and collaborate with experienced teams across the region.

What you'll do:

  • Lead credit approval processes for large corporates, leveraging deep knowledge of regional markets and industry leaders.
  • Deliver incisive financial and industry analyses, structuring complex credit facilities and producing due diligence reports that drive strategic decisions.
  • Partner with relationship managers, product teams, and risk specialists to design tailored credit solutions aligned with group-wide risk appetite.
  • Ensure compliance with both local and group-level regulatory frameworks, embedding best practices into daily operations.
  • Contribute to the development of credit risk policies and sector-specific guidelines, strengthening the bank's risk management framework.
  • Build trusted relationships across internal stakeholders, proactively addressing risk and control issues.
  • Support regulatory reviews and audits with precision and professionalism.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in risk management, economics, finance, accounting, or related disciplines.
  • 10-15 years work experience in corporate credit risk assessment for leading international financial services firms, with proven experience in Senior Leadership positions.
  • Professional certifications in Risk Management are advantageous.
  • Strong grasp of macroeconomics, loan markets, debt instruments, and industry dynamics impacting large corporates.
  • Exceptional communication skills in both Vietnamese and English, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and other relevant tools for risk assessment purposes
  • Resilient, self-driven, and able to thrive under pressure.

Overseas Vietnamese candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. As part of the Global Talent Programme, this role includes a oneyear inhouse training assignment at Headquarters, providing global exposure and professional development before returning to Vietnam to take on a leadership role in the home market.
