Brand Assurance
After the deal is confirmed, Brand Assurance plays a key role in the approval process—ensuring that each project results in qualified outputs and meets the expected timeline. The responsibilities of Brand Assurance throughout the process can be outlined as follows:
- Creative orientation: Brand Assurance will host the creative orientation to explain and inspire licensee how to utilize the character assets effectively.
- Consultation: Work closely with licensee to shape design ideas that align their objectives while following the character guidelines.
- Design review: Since the licensor's feedback process takes time, Brand Assurance conducts a thorough internal review of the licensee's designs before submission.
- Submission and follow up: Brand Assurance submits the design to the licensor and manages the feedback process. Brand Assurance is responsible for setting clear explanation to the licensee, aligning schedules, and maintaining effective communication between all parties.
- Negotiation: When conflicts arise between the licensee's creative direction and the character guidelines, Brand Assurance helps find solutions that balance both sides. Brand Assurance also negotiates with the licensor when adjustments are needed to better fit the Vietnam market context.
- Manage multiple projects: With multiple projects and licensees running in parallel, Brand Assurance must be highly organized-managing tight schedules, tracking progress, and ensuring timely and accurate approvals across all cases.
Creative:
- Develop high-quality designs using licensed characters materials while keeping their core identity. Ensure all designs follow project's objectives and character guidelines, while keeping creativity.
- Understand the nature, objective, and business context of each project.
- Managing design tasks effectively across multiple projects.
- Balance creativity, compliance, and timeline in a practical way.
- Coordinate closely with Brand Assurance, and Licensing team.
- Support and guide junior designers when needed.
- Stay updated with trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Graphic Design, Branding, Marketing, Communications, Business, or other relevant fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in a combination of Graphic Design, Brand Assurance, Brand Management, Creative Operations, or Product Development.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both creative design capability and brand guideline assurance.
- Solid understanding of design principles, typography, layout, color, and visual storytelling.
- Good knowledge of character licensing, brand guideline management, and artwork approval processes is a plus.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other graphic design software.
- Ability to review designs critically, provide constructive feedback, and execute design revisions independently.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with licensors, licensees, designers, and cross-functional teams.
- Fluent English (written and spoken) for daily communication with international licensors.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, disciplined, and capable of solving problems independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in character licensing, entertainment, consumer products, toys, publishing, or branded merchandise.
- Knowledge of manufacturing or production processes for licensed products.
- Experience with AI-assisted design workflows, 3D modeling, motion graphics, or video editing is an advantage.
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior designers is preferred.
