Job Description

Main Duties:

The Compliance Specialist is responsible for executing daytoday compliance activities that support the effective operation of the Compliance Framework. This position focuses on monitoring, documentation, and operational support to ensure that internal policies, procedures, and legal requirements are implemented consistently across business units. The role requires high attention to detail, solid execution skills, and a willingness to learn and navigate complex regulatory topics. Working closely with the Senior Compliance Specialist, Compliance Manager, and business teams, the Compliance Specialist helps ensure accurate documentation, timely responses, and effective followup on compliance matters.

Responsibilities:

Compliance check and monitoring:

  • Carry out routine compliance checks following approved checklists and procedures.
  • Record results of monitoring activities, flag anomalies or potential breaches, and escalate them to senior team members for further assessment.
  • Support basic regulatory monitoring by tracking assigned updates and logging them in internal tracking methods.

Maintain the document control system:

  • Review/revise internal documents from the compliance side such as policy, regulations, SOP...
  • Maintain the repository of internal compliance documents, ensuring the latest versions are properly stored and accessible.
  • Assist in formatting and updating internal documents and templates under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Prepare first drafts of outgoing documents and official correspondence to regulators and external stakeholders based on standard templates and instructions.

Maintain Compliance of Obligation Register:

  • Establish, maintain, and periodically review all statutory, regulatory, and internal compliance registers required under applicable laws and regulatory frameworks.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and complete maintenance of compliance registers,
  • Prepare registers and supporting documentation for internal audits, regulatory inspections, and management or Board-level reporting
  • Other tasks assigned by line manager.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in legal, compliance, or other governance-related roles, preferably in ecommerce, fintech, technology, or financial services; strong fresh graduates may be considered for junior levels.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in law or a related field.
  • Basic understanding or strong interest in ecommerce, consumer protection, and dataprotection regulations.

Skills and qualifications:

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and followthrough in executing assigned tasks.
  • Good analytical and problemsolving skills at operational level; able to recognise issues and escalate appropriately.
  • Strong documentation skills and comfort working with spreadsheets, trackers.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for internal coordination and basic external correspondence.
  • Proactive, willing to learn, and able to work collaboratively with colleagues in Compliance, Legal, and business teams.
