The Senior Commercial Finance Analyst plays a critical role in delivering financial insight and strategic support to drive commercial decision-making across business units. This role partners closely with Sales (Retail, Ecom, Medical), Marketing, and Operations teams to enhance profitability, evaluate investment opportunities, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure financial health and growth sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning, Analysis and Business Partnering
- Support the business planning cycle (Short/ long term) of Sales and Marketing to be aligned with business strategic objectives
- Lead and coordinate the analysis of revenue performance as well as margin analyses by category, channel, customer, brand and product
- Lead analysis to provide the financial impact of Sales and Marketing activities to drive revenue growth and optimize profitability
- Provide advice, guidance and influence decision making process in Sales and Marketing.
- Support decision making process by developing business cases, providing scenario modeling
- Establish and implement policies and process within the Sales and Marketing function to ensure the integrity of accounting records and financial information
- Anticipate financial risks and propose mitigating actions and flags risks to the Sales and Marketing management teams.
- Provide ad-hocs report or analysis required by the management team.
2. Reporting & Performance Management
- Support the budget owners by monitoring their actual vs budget, provide informative & supportive analysis to help with management decision making.
- Deliver, on a monthly basis, the management reports (with full explanation & analysis) on trade & MKT by channel, by customer and by product and brand.
- Design and implement necessary control tools and process in order to ensure the delivery of timing
3. Compliance & Internal Controls
- Support audit processes, risk reviews, and financial controls.
- Ensure alignment with Minthacare policies, Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), and IFRS if applicable.
Key Qualifications
1. Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of total experience, with at least 12 years as a Financial Analyst in a commercial environment (FMCG, pharma, retail preferred).
- Experience in working with multifunctional stakeholders and cross-departmental projects.
2. Skills & Competencies
- Strong Excel and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI preferred).
- Proficiency in ERP and accounting systems (e.g., MISA, SAP, Oracle is a plus).
- Strong analytical thinking with commercial acumen.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
