Role Description
As a Senior App & AI Engineer, you will design, develop, and operate cloud-native applications and AI-powered solutions on AWS. You will build scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices while integrating AI/ML capabilities into enterprise applications. Working closely with Product Owners, Architects, Data Engineers, and ML Engineers, you will deliver secure, reliable, and production-ready solutions that create business value.
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications, RESTful APIs, and microservices using modern frameworks and AWS services.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities, including Generative AI and predictive models, into production applications using AWS AI services and custom models.
- Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services following cloud-native best practices.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes to ensure reliable software delivery.
- Implement application monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability to improve system reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Data Engineers, and ML Engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and continuously optimize application performance, scalability, security, and cloud costs.
Requirement
- 3–5 years of experience in software or application development, preferably on AWS.
- Hands-on experience developing cloud-native applications and microservices.
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Java, or .NET.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs (GraphQL is a plus).
- Solid experience with AWS services such as: AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS and/or Amazon EKS, Amazon API Gateway, AWS Step Functions, Amazon SQS/SNS, Amazon RDS and/or DynamoD
- Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into applications using services such as Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, or similar AI platforms.
- Experience with Docker, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred), and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with application monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, or OpenTelemetry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional Agile teams.
- Professional proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, or prompt engineering.
- Experience building event-driven or serverless architectures.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Experience with secure application development and cloud security best practices.
- AWS certifications such as:
AWS Certified Developer – Associate
AWS Certified AI Practitioner
AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty
