Job Description

About the Role 

The Business Development team leader owns the end-to-end customer journey from identifying new business opportunities to executing successful client onboarding and service delivery. This role is responsible for prospecting, managing pilot projects, onboarding new clients, coordinating implementation, and ensuring successful execution while driving long-term customer growth. 

Responsible for building up an AI-native Service Delivery Pod, the Business Development team leader is given the opportunities to work closely with Business solutions managers, C-level and cross-functional stakeholders to form the organizational structure and commercial process for the new business 

Key Responsibilities 

Business Development & Client Acquisition 

  • Identify, qualify, and acquire potential pilot partners and customers through outbound prospecting networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships 
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline 
  • Conduct discovery meetings to understand customer needs, pain points, and business objectives 
  • Present AI solutions, product demonstrations, and tailored proposals 
  • Lead commercial discussions, negotiations, and contract closure. 

Customer Onboarding 

  • Lead the onboarding process for pilot partners / new customers 
  • Develop onboarding plans, implementation timelines, and project milestones 
  • Coordinate customer setup, data preparation, and system configuration 
  • Ensure customers understand workflows, processes, and best practices 
  • Monitor onboarding progress and ensure a smooth transition into production. 

Project Execution & Customer Success 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout service delivery. 
  • End-to-end execution of service delivery during the pilot phase. Lead the excellence process and AI agent system optimization. 
  • Track project milestones, delivery quality, and service-level agreements (SLAs). 
  • Identify and resolve operational issues. 
  • Monitor customer adoption, satisfaction, and business outcomes. 
  • Identify opportunities for account growth through upselling and cross-selling. 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Brand-side e-commerce operations, strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously. 
  • Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
