Job Description

* General Description:

The purpose of this position is to be responsible to bring new business for the company with profitable revenue. This candidate must have excellent communication and client management skills to maintain positive client relations. This candidate must be a self-starter, who is able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment. This candidate must be a team player to ensure good working cooperation between the different departments locally.

The primary responsibility is to build up the pipeline, work with Solution Development team for the solution and pricing proposal and finally, try to win the business. The candidate is expected to work with customers (both internal and external) to establish and agree on contract terms for transportation services and service level agreement. The candidate is expected to manage the team to achieve the committed target and ensure that excellent quality service is being delivered to the customer. The candidate is also required to work with internal sales partners to build up the pipeline and support them to visit, make deal with the customers when required.

The secondary responsibility is to build up the relationship with existing customers, listen to the feedback of the market and ensure that new requirements is being analyzed and reviewed with  Country MD. The candidate is expected to keep in touch with market trends and recommend new ideas to disrupt the current market.

** Specific Accountabilities:

Business Development

  • Responsible for developing business sales plan for Road Product
  • Responsible for developing logistics solution and Road strategy
  • Responsible for bringing in new business for the company
  • Knowledgeable of regulatory developments in respect of trucking and distribution in Vietnam
  • Work with solution team for generating proposal for potential business clients which are in line with company's strategic focus, fully cost and structured in accordance with company pricing principles and business ethics
  • Penetrate new geographies and new segments (Eg. Consumer& Retail, Energy and Industrial) and service offerings in Vietnam
  • Understand Schenker Road Network and utilize our network to build up the customer pipeline
  • Work with KAMs and Field sales for Land/Road opportunity and develop to win business and support for commercial & legal preparation
  • Responsible to ensure that new knowledge and services are shared to the Sales community in Vietnam and within APAC

Implementation

  • Able to work with internal stakeholders to align the credit terms, legal framework within the stipulated time to ensure that the contract can be signed off by the customer
  • To setup and implement new client operation till it is stabilized
  • Maintain and follow company rules, regulations and Health, Safety and Environmental Standards.
  • Guide and support all functions for all related customer's matter

 

Team Management

  • In charge of setting up Commercial/Sales team to achieve the target of DSV Road Vietnam
  • Educate, do training manage and grow up team members to build up a strong Commercial/sales team.
  • Set up and measure KPI for everyone in the team.

HSSE

  • Ensure that HSSE guidance is followed by staff
  • Understand the HSSE policy of the company
  • Ensure staff adhere to HSSE guidelines and provide guidance during new implementations
  • Rectify near misses and report near misses to HSSE
  • Conduct audits together with HSSE team
