Qode is excited to partner with a fast-growing, product-driven tech company in the e-commerce field to hire a Senior Backend Engineer. This role is ideal for an experienced backend developer passionate about designing scalable systems and collaborating across teams in a dynamic, professional environment.
About the role:
As a Senior Backend Engineer, youll help architect and maintain the core of the platform high-performance backend systems and APIs. Youll work closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams, while mentoring junior engineers and influencing the platforms technical direction.
What you&aposll do:
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs with Python (Django, Celery preferred).
- Integrate server-side logic with frontend components.
- Optimize performance and scalability to handle large data volumes and high traffic.
- Ensure system security and compliance with best practices.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code.
- Review code and mentor junior developers.
- Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and apply relevant innovations.
What we&aposre looking for:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in backend development.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and software architecture.
- Proficiency in Python; Django and Celery experience is a plus.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Problem-solving mindset, proactive and detail-oriented.
