I. What You'll Do
We're seeking an experienced backend engineer with full-stack capabilities to join our development team. This role primarily focuses on backend systems while requiring a comprehensive understanding of web architecture and application design principles.
- Design, develop, and optimize backend systems and services
- Architect and maintain database solutions that meet performance and reliability requirements
- Implement efficient network communications and API endpoints
- Collaborate with frontend developers, ensuring seamless integration between systems
- Apply strong Computer Science fundamentals to solve complex technical challenges
- Contribute to technical decision-making and architectural discussions
- Take ownership of production issues via JIRA Service Desk, ensuring timely and high-quality resolution
- Perform end-to-end troubleshooting: reproduce issues, debug, identify root causes, and implement long-term fixes
- Build automation tools and scripts to reduce manual effort and enhance operational efficiency
- Contribute to internal tools (e.g., bots, ticket classifiers, monitoring systems) that support daily operations
II. What You'll Bring
Must-have Skills:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on backend engineering
- Strong expertise in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Go, etc.)
- Willingness and ability to work with Python in production environments
- Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, system design, and software architecture
- Proven experience building scalable, production-grade systems
- Strong experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL, query optimization, data modeling)
- Good understanding of API design and networking fundamentals
- Familiarity with modern web architecture
- Comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments
- Strong debugging, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Good English communication skills
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Experience with Python (Flask, FastAPI, Django)
- Experience with asynchronous processing (Celery, RabbitMQ)
- Experience with Elasticsearch
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus)
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience with distributed systems or large-scale architectures
- Experience in performance tuning and scalability optimization
