As the Senior Back-end Developer (.NET), you will focus on building high-quality, scalable backend systems. There is a portion of DevOps involved with this role also, the split being roughly 70-80% Program Development and 20-30% DevOps Management:
Responsibilities
- Core Hands-on Development: Act as the primary .NET (C#) programmer on assigned projects. Take full ownership of the backend codebase, writing clean, scalable, and highly maintainable server-side logic.
- API Design & Database Integration: Analyze project requirements to build robust, secure, and high-performance RESTful APIs and/or microservices. Collaborate closely with frontend developers to ensure seamless data integration and manage database architecture.
- Unit Test Implementation & Code Coverage: Write and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests for core business logic and data access layers. Ensure high test coverage to prevent regressions and maintain long-term system stability.
- Task Estimation & Delivery: Review technical requirements to break down your own development tasks, provide accurate technical estimates, and manage your coding pipeline to ensure reliable, on-time delivery.
- DevOps & Deployment Support (20% Focus): Execute routine application deployments, monitor server logs, and help troubleshoot basic environment issues to ensure stable backend operations.
- Other tasks assigned by the leader and the PM to get the project done on time.
Qualifications
- Core Languages & Frameworks: 4+ years of backend development experience, with at least 3+ years of strong, hands-on experience using C# and modern .NET framework .
- API Development: Extensive experience in designing, building, and securing high-performance ASP.NET Core RESTful Web APIs.
- Database & ORM: Deep knowledge of databases and strong experience with Entity Framework Core.
- Testing & Quality: Hands-on experience writing robust unit and integration tests using frameworks
- Soft Skills & Language: Good command of spoken and written English to communicate directly and effectively with Australian clients and partners.
