Job Description

Position Overview:

The Senior Analyst is responsible for researching, analyzing, and recommending Vietnamese equities for the firm's investment portfolios. This includes conducting ongoing due diligence on existing holdings and potential targets. As a core member of the Investment team, the successful candidate will originate, evaluate, and recommend investment ideas, offering differentiated views and identifying meaningful change within covered companies and sub-sectors, all grounded in a risk/reward framework. We expect this role to go beyond isolated financial statement analysis — the candidate should be able to test individual stock and credit views against the broader market and macroeconomic environment.

Job Description:

  • Generate well-supported, insightful investment recommendations across equities based on independent research.
  • Apply fundamental and/or technical analysis to reach sound, timely investment decisions.
  • Conduct interviews with management teams, suppliers, and customers, and carry out industry and competitive due diligence.
  • Collect and synthesize investment data at both the macro and micro level, and maintain processes to track and record changes over time.
  • Perform detailed quantitative analysis on the performance and characteristics of existing holdings and potential new targets, and maintain a list of potential replacements.
  • Stay attentive to macroeconomic developments (interest rates, currency movements, policy shifts) and proactively connect them to covered names, rather than reacting only after the fact.
  • Support the Portfolio Manager in continuously monitoring, managing, and optimizing portfolio performance, helping ensure alignment with strategic and tactical allocation targets.
  • Support the preparation and presentation of materials related to the portfolios.
  • Assist the sales and marketing teams with channel management and communication with internal and external clients.
  • Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity, and follow-through on commitments.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed, in line with the growth of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in equity.
  • Strong financial modeling and independent research skills.
  • Familiarity with a range of valuation methodologies — DCF is only one tool among several — with the flexibility to apply relative valuation, scenario analysis, and other frameworks as appropriate.
  • Ability to place individual stock or credit views in the context of the broader market and macroeconomic environment, rather than assessing them in isolation.
  • Solid academic background with a bachelor's degree; an advanced degree or CFA charter is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
  • Licensed in Vietnam.

Preferred (Not Required, but a Plus)

  • Buy-side investment research experience.
  • 2 years of financial industry experience.
  • Prior exposure to macroeconomic research, fixed income, or cross-asset analysis.
  • A habit of actively following macro developments (rate cycles, currency moves, geopolitical events) and quickly assessing their market implications.

Benefits:

  • Annual leaves, Insurance 24/7
  • Birthday allowance
  • Company trip
  • Annual bonus

Working time: Monday to Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm)
