Senior AI Engineer, Vision Platform

Job Summary

As an AI Engineer in the Computer Vision Platform team, you will design and optimize advanced vision systems that power real-time monitoring, safety, and customer experience analytics across Sun Group's businesses. Your responsibilities include building and deploying computer vision models, integrating multi-modal signals, and ensuring reliable performance from edge devices to cloud platforms.

This role provides the opportunity to apply state-of-the-art techniques in object detection, tracking, activity recognition, and multi-modal AI to real-world environments such as resorts, theme parks, real estate properties, and aviation infrastructure. By collaborating with product, engineering, and business teams, you will help shape innovative solutions that enhance operations and contribute to Vietnam's digital transformation through data and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and implement state-of-the-art models for object detection, tracking, recognition, activity analysis, and anomaly detection.
• Optimize models for real-time inference on video streams and edge devices.
• Explore emerging techniques in cross-modal learning for customer experience analytics and operational intelligence.
• Develop scalable pipelines that support both on-device inference (cameras, gateways) and cloud-based analytics.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure system performance, latency optimization, and cost efficiency.
• Deploy, monitor, and continuously improve vision models in production environments.
• Implement CI/CD for AI models, performance tracking, model retraining, and automated evaluation.
• Work closely with product managers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into AI-powered solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 4 years+ of experience in computer vision, deep learning, or applied AI.
• Strong programming in Python (Node.js/Go is a plus).
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Hands-on experience with computer vision libraries and tools (OpenCV, Detectron2, YOLO, Mask R-CNN, DeepSORT, CLIP, etc.).
• Knowledge of real-time video analytics, GPU acceleration, and edge deployment optimization.
• Experience deploying ML/LLM systems on cloud or on-prem clusters using containerization (Docker, K8s).
• Experience with NVIDIA DeepStream SDK for scalable video analytics pipelines and ONNX & C++ for optimizing and deploying high-efficiency models is a plus
