Senior AI Development Engineer (Automotive)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI Development Engineer (Senior) specializing in NPUs to join and manage our talented & dynamic AI team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compiler theory and design, as well as extensive experience in optimizing AI models for NPU architecture as well as proven leadership skills. You will play a critical role in developing and optimizing AI models for deployment on NPUs, particularly ResNet50 or VGG19, Inception3, EfficientNet, to enhance the performance and efficiency of our automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize compiler tools and runtime systems specialized for NPUs, focusing on ResNet50 and other deep learning models.
• Collaborate with the AI research and development team to understand the architecture of the NPU and develop strategies for optimizing AI models for this hardware.
• Design, implement, and optimize compiler algorithms and runtime libraries to enable efficient execution of AI models on NPUs.
• Manage & work closely with the AI engineering team to integrate AI models into our automotive systems and ensure optimal performance on NPU hardware.
• Analyze and evaluate the performance of AI models on NPUs, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions for optimization.
• Develop and maintain documentation for compiler tools, runtime systems, and optimization techniques.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in compiler technology and AI hardware architecture to continuously improve the performance and efficiency of our AI models.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in AI/ML development
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and debug complex software systems
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment
• Required Qualifications

o Hands-on experience with AI vision models, such as YOLO, ViT, Swin Transformer, or other computer vision models, including design, optimization, and deployment

o Strong knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar

o Familiarity with popular neural network architectures (e.g., ResNet, EfficientNet, Inception)

o Good mathematical background, including linear algebra and calculus

• Preferred Qualifications

o Strong programming skills in Python; experience with C, C++, or CUDA C++

o Understanding of low-level programming on NPUs, including NPU architectures, compiler toolchains, or hardware/software co-design

o Experience in the automotive industry
