Job Description

Role Objectives

This role aims to provide efficient and effective assistance to general accounting practices, including but not limited to inventories control, fixed assets management, month-end and year-end reporting, reconciliations, preparing audits, and tax.

The role also underpins the transition to a standardised, process-driven finance model. Strong ongoing ownership is essential to sustain alignment, drive continuous improvement, and avoid reversion to fragmented regional practices.

Reporting to: Finance Manager – Hong Kong

Work Hours: Standard office hours:

8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, plus reasonable additional hours.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare month-end journals and reconciliations
  • Investigate and follow up on variances with relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain and reconcile master data to ensure accuracy and consistency

Accounts Payable & Receivable Support

  • Provide AP support and advisory, including execution of online payments across all Moose entities
  • Support AR processes and lead alignment of receipt and deduction management
  • Prepare and issue debit/credit notes for customers, suppliers, and intercompany transactions

Cash Flow & Financial Control

  • Prepare cash flow management and forecasting
  • Maintain and update bank balance control sheets
  • Drive alignment and standardization of bank reconciliations across regions

Audit, Compliance & Policies

  • Coordinate with internal and external audits and other financial control procedures
  • Support the implementation of accounting policies in order to adhere to the relevant group accounting policies and regulatory requirements

Process Improvement, Projects & Other Accounting Activities

  • Coordinate with Finance team across regions to align and implement process improvement initiatives and system enhancements
  • Participate in special projects, support system enhancements and ad hoc tasks as assigned
  • Prepare sales agent commission

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in Accounting position with strong all round accounting knowledge
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Business Studies or equivalent
  • Demonstrate financial awareness; and control costs and think in terms of profit, loss and added value.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting functions, processes and inventories management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly articulate financial information, collaborate across functions and regions, and proactively drive and resolve variances and issues.
  • Good command of written and spoken English; Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an advantage.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and accounting software (JDE/Oracle preferred)
