Senior Accountant

Role Description The Senior Accountant role at FINCORE is a full-time, on-site position based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial closing activities. The Senior Accountant prepares and reviews financial statements, supports statutory reporting, and assists with tax calculations and filings in compliance with local regulations and international standards. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data, identify process improvements, and support internal and external audits. The Senior Accountant also helps implement accounting policies, mentors junior team members, and contributes to client-facing projects where accurate financial reporting and advisory support are required.

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
• Preference will be given to candidates with 1–2 years of experience at professional service, auditing, or consulting firms, and a solid understanding of Vietnamese accounting and tax regulations.
• Experience with statutory reporting, corporate tax calculations, and compliance with local and international accounting standards.
• Proficiency with accounting software, as well as solid MS Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
• Ability to interpret financial data, perform variance analysis, and provide clear, data-driven insights to stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and support audit and advisory engagements.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in professional services, audit, or advisory firms, and familiarity with Vietnamese accounting and tax regulations is preferred.
