We are seeking a high-caliber, hands-on local Senior Accountant to join our Accounting Services team at RBA Vietnam.
This role is designed for professionals who are not only technically strong but also ready to take full ownership of a client portfolio and deliver end-to-end accounting, tax, and compliance services in an international environment.
Unlike traditional in-house roles, you will gain exposure to multiple clients across industries, work directly with international stakeholders, and develop a well-rounded skill set across accounting, tax, payroll, and regulatory compliance.

What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 - 6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an accounting services, outsourcing, consulting, or professional services environment.
- Solid knowledge of VAS, IFRS, and general accounting principles.
- Proven experience in handling full sets of accounts and managing accounting work for multiple clients or legal entities simultaneously.
- Hands-on experience with tax filings and compliance matters, including VAT, PIT, CIT, FCWT, and working with tax authorities when required.
- Good understanding of payroll processing and related statutory compliance, including social insurance, PIT, and labor-related requirements.
- Experience in accounting review, tax review, financial analysis, compliance review, or tax memo preparation would be an advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software, preferably FAST, and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate with international clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a careful working style.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills with a responsible, service-minded, and client-oriented approach.
What You'll Be Doing
Client Portfolio & Service Delivery
- Independently manage a portfolio of client entities, taking full ownership of service delivery from A-Z.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients on accounting, tax, and compliance matters.
- Ensure all deliverables are completed accurately, timely, and in line with agreed scope and statutory deadlines.
- Proactively identify issues and provide practical solutions to clients.
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Handle the full set of accounts for assigned clients, including general ledger, bank, cash, and all supporting transactions.
- Maintain complete and accurate accounting records, ensuring proper documentation and audit trail.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing, including reconciliations and adjustments.
- Prepare accurate financial reports for internal and external use, aligned with the unit's goals.
- Review and resolve discrepancies, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across records.
Tax & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare and review tax declarations, including VAT, PIT, CIT, and other relevant filings.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations and statutory requirements.
- Handle tax-related matters with authorities, including explanations, audits, inspections, and VAT refund processes where applicable.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and assess their impact on clients.
Payroll & Administrative Compliance
- Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with labor regulations, social insurance, health insurance, and personal income tax requirements.
- Manage related registrations, declarations, and administrative procedures with relevant authorities.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of payroll records and statutory filings.
Billing & Engagement Management
- Prepare/Review VAT invoices for clients in charge or make payments upon requests from the client.
- Manage billing processes for assigned clients, including preparation of billing data and reviewing Debit notes, proactively inform the Billing team of any incorrect Debit Notes.
- Monitor service scope and ensure alignment between agreed contracts and actual service delivery.
- Track service usage, timesheets, and related data to support accurate billing.
- Follow up on the status of all tasks assigned to clients in charge and report updates to the Line Manager in a timely manner.
Internal Coordination & Process Improvement
- Liaise with tax authorities and relevant stakeholders on accounting and compliance matters.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Tax, Legal, Advisory) to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Identify areas for improvement in workflows and proactively suggest enhancements to increase efficiency and control.
Team Support & Quality Control
- Review work performed by junior team members and provide guidance when required.
- Ensure quality, consistency, and compliance across all deliverables.
