On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Security Architect to play a key role in strengthening cyber security capabilities across large scale technology initiatives. This position sits within a mature security function and partners closely with senior stakeholders to ensure secure-by-design outcomes across business critical systems.
Only candidates based in, or willing to relocate to, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam will be considered.
What you will do:
- Act as a Security Architecture subject matter expert, providing consultancy-style guidance across multiple initiatives and technology domains.
- Influence senior stakeholders and project leaders, including navigating complex or challenging security conversations.
- Design and deliver conceptual and logical security architectures, identifying threats, vulnerabilities, and appropriate mitigating controls.
- Analyse applications, platforms, and system components to assess cyber risk and recommend security countermeasures.
- Govern and support significant architectural decisions, ensuring alignment with enterprise security standards and governance frameworks.
- Leverage and enhance existing security patterns, controls, and reference architectures; contribute to the development of new design artefacts and reusable frameworks.
- Proactively manage security risk and assurance requirements across project lifecycles.
- Coach and mentor engineers and architects in practical security and risk management principles.
- Deliver timely, high-quality security outcomes that support business objectives while effectively managing cyber risk.
- Continuously improve architectural efficiency through the use of best-practice methodologies, processes, and design standards.
What you will need:
- Strong ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience influencing senior leaders and project teams in enterprise environments.
- A pragmatic mindset, balancing security, business, and technical trade-offs.
- High professional standards, including transparency, collaboration, and accountability.
Must have:
- 7+ years experience in Security Architecture, or 10+ years in Solution Architecture with significant exposure to security focused design.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Deep expertise in at least one of the following domains:
- Cyber Defence / SIEM (e.g. SIEM, UEBA, SOAR, incident response, cloud security models)
- Identity & Access Management (Workforce IAM)
- Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM)
- Strong understanding of adjacent security domains such as IAM, application security, data protection, vulnerability management, network security, and DevSecOps.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) in a global delivery environment.
Nice to have:
- Exposure to complex, large-scale enterprise or regulated environments.
- Awareness of security product/vendor landscapes and industry best practices.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or similar.
- Architecture or cloud security certifications (e.g. SABSA, Cloud Security).
- Familiarity with recognised risk and security management frameworks.
