Job Overview:
We are seeking a
SecOps Engineer (Mid-Senior Level) to secure cloud infrastructure by monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to security events—while continuously improving security visibility, automation, and operational processes.
You will work closely with engineering and platform teams to ensure our services are
available, secure, and supportable across the AWS environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Security Architecture
- Analyze solution architectures to identify security risks, threats, and required controls.
- Design security architectures and security control frameworks.
- Develop and maintain security reference patterns and standards.
- Operations & Incident Management
- Ensure on-call ownership and coverage for production operations.
- Be accountable for incident triage and coordination (monitoring, prioritization, escalation).
- During Major Incidents, coordinate with development and platform teams to restore service.
- Maintain incident quality through effective communication, tracking, and documented outcomes.
- Observability & Reliability
- Enhance monitoring, alerting, and logging capabilities to provide timely and actionable operational insights.
- Continuously optimize alert quality by minimizing false positives and reducing unnecessary noise for on-call teams.
- Strengthen observability practices to identify and address production issues before they impact customers whenever feasible.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information security / Cyber security, Computer Science, IT, Networking Engineering or relevant.
- 3+ years Solution Architecture Experience with significant security exposure.
- Strong experience supporting production systems in cloud and hands‑on experience with AWS.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and release processes.
- Solid understanding of incident management, on‑call operations, and RCA.
- Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Experience automating operational tasks using scripting (Python, Bash).
- Understanding microservices and distributed systems.
- Exposure to security, compliance, or regulated environments (e.g. banking).
Nice to have
- Achieved AWS Certified Security – Specialty
- Good documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to lead incident response activities during major incidents
