Job Description

Job Summary (Business Process Expert Commerce, Functional O2C Background)

We are seeking a seasoned Business Process Expert (BPE) for Commerce with 810 years of hands-on experience in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD), Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes, and business process transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have successfully delivered end-to-end O2C solutions and bring deep domain knowledge in one or more industries (e.g., Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Oil, Retail & Consumer Goods, etc.).

Key Responsibilities & Expertise

O2C Process Excellence & SAP SD Expertise:

  • Lead the design, optimization, and support of O2C processes, including sales orders, pricing, delivery, shipping, billing, credit management, returns, and revenue recognition.
  • Drive process standardization and automation initiatives to enhance commercial operations and customer experience.

Business Process Analysis & Transformation:

  • Analyze current O2C and commerce processes, identify pain points, and propose innovative solutions for process improvement.
  • Design scalable, efficient process flows to improve order fulfillment, invoicing accuracy, and revenue realization.

Cross-Functional Integration:

  • Ensure seamless integration of O2C processes with related modules (MM, PP, FI/CO, PS) and commercial platforms for unified data flow and operational continuity.
  • Collaborate with IT, sales, finance, and supply chain teams to align business requirements and system capabilities.

End-User Enablement & Support:

  • Develop and deliver training for O2C and commerce cycle users, including sales, customer service, and finance teams.
  • Provide expert-level support for operational issues such as blocked orders, pricing errors, and credit challenges.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for O2C process configurations, functional specifications, test scripts, and training guides.
  • Ensure documentation supports traceability, compliance, and handover throughout the project lifecycle.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

  • Stay updated on the latest innovations in SAP SD, O2C, and commerce platforms, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP BRIM, SAP Fiori apps, and e-commerce integrations.
  • Drive ongoing improvements in the O2C and commerce lifecycle for faster order processing and enhanced customer satisfaction.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 810 years of hands-on experience in SAP SD, O2C process implementation, and business process transformation.
  • Proven experience in end-to-end project delivery from blueprinting to post-go-live support.
  • Strong understanding of pricing procedures, credit management, logistics execution, and integration with commercial platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in global delivery models with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Engineering, Construction & Operations (EC&O) and/or Manufacturing industries.
  • Exposure to SAP S/4HANA SD, SAP BRIM, SAP Advanced ATP, or SAP Fiori apps related to O2C and commerce operations.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, digital commerce solutions, and customer experience management.

Education Qualifications & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
  • Master's degree (e.g., MBA in Operations, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management) is preferred.
  • SAP Certification in SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), SAP S/4HANA Sales, or relevant commerce platforms is highly desirable.
