Key Purpose of the Role:
The Sales Training Manager is responsible for building a high-performance sales organization
through capability development, performance intervention, leadership pipeline creation, and
continuous learning initiatives. This role ensures that every Educational Consultant (EC), Center
Head of Sales (CHoS), and sales team member develops the skills, knowledge, and behaviors
required to achieve business objectives today while building leadership capacity for future
growth.
The role acts as a strategic business partner to the Head of Sales, Center Heads of Sales, HR,
and L&D to strengthen organizational capability, improve sales performance, develop future
leaders, and foster a learning culture across the business.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
1. National Sales Training Strategy & Capability Development
• Develop and own the annual Sales Capability Development Strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Design and deliver onboarding, refresher, upskilling, and leadership development programs.
• Build standardized sales training frameworks across all centers.
• Ensure all training content remains aligned with company SOPs, products, promotions, and market requirements.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual training planning cycles.
2. Sales Performance Improvement & Intervention
• Monitor individual and team sales performance trends across the organization.
• Drive capability interventions to support Educational Consultants in achieving minimum performance standards defined by the business.
• Analyze performance gaps between top performers and low performers.
• Identify capabitily root causes impacting sales productivity.
• Design and implement targeted performance improvement plans.
• Monitor intervention effectiveness and provide improvement recommendations to
sales leadership
3. Early Identification of At-Risk Employees
• Establish an Early Warning Framework to identify low-performing or low-potential employees.
• Partner with CHoS and Head of Sales to proactively manage performance risks.
• Design coaching programs and corrective action plans.
• Monitor 30/60/90-day improvement outcomes.
• Provide recommendations regarding development, redeployment, or succession
4. Top Performer Replication Program
• Identify best practices from high-performing sales consultants.
• Create structured learning content from successful sales cases.
• Facilitate best-practice sharing across centers.
• Ensure proven selling techniques are systematically embedded into training programs.
5. Daily Learning & Continuous Learning Culture
• Drive continuous learning initiatives across the sales organization.
• Develop and manage Daily Learning Programs.
• Deliver weekly learning updates including:
o Sales techniques
o Objection handling
o Product knowledge
o Promotion updates
o Market intelligence
o Success stories
• Foster a culture of self-learning and performance excellence.
6. Leadership Development & Succession Pipeline
• Identify high-potential Educational Consultants and future leaders.
• Develop leadership readiness programs for future Team Leaders, Assistant CHoS, and CHoS.
• Build and maintain sales talent pipeline and succession plans.
• Collaborate with Head of Sales and HRBP to ensure leadership bench strength across all centers.
7. CHoS Capability Development
• Design and facilitate leadership training programs for Center Heads of Sales.
• Conduct field coaching and observation sessions.
• Strengthen coaching, people management, forecasting, business planning, and performance management capabilities.
• Support monthly leadership development programs.
8. Sales Leadership Programs
• Support and contribute to:
o Quarterly Kick-Off Meetings
o Leadership Conferences
o National Sales Meetings
o CHoS Leadership Workshops
o Strategic Planning Sessions
• Act as a key facilitator and capability partner for the sales leadership team.
9. Learning Innovation & L&D Partnership
• Partner with Learning & Development teams to introduce modern learning methodologies.
• Research and apply best practices in:
o Adult learning
o Sales enablement
o Performance coaching
o Leadership development
o Digital learning solutions
• Evaluate and implement relevant learning innovations to improve business performance.
10. AI Adoption & Future Skills Development
• Leverage AI tools to enhance training design, coaching effectiveness, knowledge management, and learning reinforcement.
• Identify emerging trends in AI and workplace learning.
• Promote responsible and practical AI adoption within the sales organization.
• Upskill sales teams on relevant AI-powered productivity and sales enablement tools.
