Role Summary
A senior hunter who opens new logos and grows key accounts while steering sample development through to bulk. You balance commercial drive with deep product/technical knowhow to turn RFQs into profitable POs, upsell valueadded processes (VAP) and protect quality, timeline, and margin.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business & Pipeline: Build a qualified pipeline; prospect, pitch, and win buyers (VN & export). Drive RFQ PO conversion with clear T&A and stakeholder alignment.
- Account Leadership: Own buyer communication ends (costing, negotiations, terms, claims). Run QBRs and growth plans by style/category.
- Sample Development Ownership:
- Prepare/oversee SJO & MI from zero; ensure tech pack clarity and sample readiness.
- Coordinate trims/EMB/print/wash trials; define VAP development path and approvals.
- Conduct 1stround BF (build feasibility) & risk filtering; flag workmanship/quality risks early.
- Review patterns; communicate with buyer on pattern issues/solutions; align on fit standards.
- Lead fit sessions with customers; conduct onsite fittings and facetoface sample approvals.
- Costing & Margin: Work with factories/mills on CM, fabric/trim costs, washing/printing addons; protect GP%; track cost deltas vs quote.
- Execution Control: Convert SMS (Sale Man Sample)/T&A (time and activity) into clear internal actions across sample room, cutting, sewing, wash, print, QA, and logistics; ensure ontime PP and shipment.
- ValueAdded Upsell: Proactively propose functional fabrics, finishes, and embellishments to raise ASP (average selling price) and GP (gross margin).
- Data & Tools: Maintain CRM/PLM data integrity; weekly pipeline & KPI reporting.
Qualifications
- 710+ years in garment merchandising/sales (knit or woven); strong hunter track record.
- Solid knowledge of garment construction, trims/emb/print/wash, VAP development, workmanship & quality risk control.
- Able to prepare SJO (Sales Job Order)/MI (Manufacturing Instruction), do 1stround BF & risk screen, read patterns, and handle fit checks/approvals.
- Strong costing/negotiation; comfortable with GP scenarios and PO terms.
- English & Vietnamese fluency; confident in buyer meetings and factory floor discussions.
