Job Title: Sales Manager Software Development & Custom Solutions

Location: Remote

Reporting to: CEO

Job Timing: 9am to 6pm MST USA

Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead our business development efforts in software development and custom technology solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new prospects, generating qualified leads, managing the sales pipeline, and collaborating closely with technical content writers to support lead generation and conversion.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, research, and generate new business opportunities for software development and custom IT solutions

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets

Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, clients, and strategic partners

  • Lead and guide a team of technical content writers to create sales-enabling content (case studies, proposals, whitepapers, blogs, presentations, etc.)
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to align messaging with customer needs
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting and lead qualification to negotiation and closing
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and solution demos
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client requirements
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and reports for management
  • Represent the company in meetings, networking events, and industry forums

Required Skills & Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in software development, IT services, or custom solutions
  • Strong understanding of software development services (web, mobile, cloud, custom applications, etc.)
  • Experience in lead generation, prospecting, and pipeline management
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with technical content writers and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience selling custom software solutions to international clients
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.)
  • Understanding of content-driven sales and inbound lead generation
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring a sales or content team
